Mills Bucket List

Last week, the Senior Class honored a faculty member for their contributions to the Mills community at the annual Senior Pin Dinner. Among the many speakers, the President of the College, Alecia DeCoudereaux, spoke of the significance of the event. While we are getting ready to leave the college, her time here is just beginning. She encouraged us to write a Mills Bucket List, detailing all the things we've wanted to do during our time here (but have not gotten to) or things we would like to do one last time before we leave. So, in that spirit, here we go...

  1. Run the cross country course AGAIN. Many times. As fast as I can.
  2. Conquer Pinetop on my XC bike.
  3. Jump in Lake Aliso (probably not the BEST idea, but still...)
  4. Sex in the forest.
  5. Mini bonfire up at the fireplace. Bottles of wine included.
  6. Race around campus on my bike as fast as I can.
  7. Ride down the major hills. Without braking.
  8. Soap in the fountains (Bad, I know, but I can't resist)
  9. Photo shoot on campus, channeling the ethereal creatures Rosa, Jules, and Irene.
  10. Get up into the Campanil. (not going to happen, but I can wish)
  11. Visit the 3rd floor of Mills Hall.
  12. Go to the Bender Room, next to the M Center.
  13. Attend all remaining shows at the Art Museum.
  14. Walk around the Faculty Village.
  15. Camp out in the woods, either by Lake Aliso or Sunnyside Cemetary. S'mores & ghost stories included.
  16. Attend meditation at the Chapel.
  17. Sun topless, while reading for class, on Toyon Meadow.
My list, thus far. Hopefully, I can cross the majority of these off the list. Given the busyness of the semester, most of these will be taken care of next semester. I'm going to make sure it happens!
